芷江，这座湘西边陲的小城，因其独特的历史地位，成为世界反法西斯战争的重要见证地。1945年8月21日，中国战区日军投降签字仪式在此举行，标志着中国抗战的伟大胜利正式定格于世界史册。如今的中国人民抗日战争胜利受降纪念馆，以庄严肃穆的建筑形态、翔实丰富的历史资料、生动感人的影像陈列，承载着一段不容忘却的民族记忆。
当天，海外华文媒体代表团在讲解员的带领下参观纪念馆展区，驻足在“受降堂”门前仰望高高飘扬的五星红旗，倾听芷江受降背后的历史故事。在历史影像与文献实物前，大家沉思良久，不时拍照记录，心中激荡着对和平来之不易的深切体悟。
“走进芷江，就是走进历史。每一块展板、每一幅照片、每一个讲述，都是对世界和平的庄严宣告。”多位来自马来西亚、美国、泰国的媒体人感慨道。

Commemorating Victory, Honoring Peace: Overseas Chinese Media Visit the Zhijiang Surrender Memorial Hall
On July 29, 2025, marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the “Chasing the Chinese Dream · Happy Hunan” Overseas Chinese Media Tour visited the Zhijiang Surrender Memorial Hall in Huaihua, Hunan Province.
Located in the border town of Zhijiang, a key site in modern Chinese history, the memorial hall stands where the Japanese forces officially surrendered to China on August 21, 1945. It was a turning point that symbolized China’s final victory in the war and a milestone in the global fight against fascism.
During the visit, overseas media representatives toured the memorial’s solemn architecture and historical exhibits, learning about the events and sacrifices that led to this historic moment. The visit offered a powerful reflection on the value of peace and the enduring legacy of those who fought for it.
As one participant noted, “To walk into Zhijiang is to walk into history. Every exhibit tells a story that reminds us to never forget and to always cherish peace.”
